Dareth Drayner
Party Dossier — Field Assignment
Dareth Drayner
Ex-Purple Dragon veteran who lost nineteen soldiers to institutional failure
Portrait Pending Weathered veteran of the eastern campaign, carter bloodline, carries the memory of the nineteen.
Background
Dareth served twelve years with the Purple Dragons, including garrison duty at Immersea and the eastern campaign. At the Mouth of the Stonecleft, he watched War Wizards and Helmite knights fail to coordinate in the middle of a retreat. Nineteen soldiers died in the gap that followed. He carried three of them himself.
After the war, he started asking questions the institutions did not want asked. His family are Drayners on the Arabel road, and the collapse of the guild now runs directly across his personal history.
What He Brings
- Military experience and a veteran’s sense for institutional weakness.
- Family ties to the Carters’ Guild and the freight roads under pressure.
- A moral framework centered on consequences, not slogans.
